AIG #6

I think that AIG is trying to get out of this hole by any means possible. Even though "bribing" this organization looks bad, everyone involved in the economy would be able to benefit if AIG was able to "regain" all of its "lost possessions". With a stronger AIG comes a stronger economy, and a stronger economy will boost us out of this recession. So, I feel that this bill needs to be passed for the benefit of everyone.

Terminate debts

This article is about how AIG was looking to get its taxes cut, by donating money to an organization. This impaticular organization was looking to recieve about 10 million dollars from AIG, so a school could be built. AIG saw this as a way to cut its taxes and focus on getting out of this hole and not about giving away a portion of the money to the government. This is a contraversial topic, because it appeared that AIG was bribing the organizational leader to pass a bill redusing its taxes.

Response to toxic deals

I think that it isn't fair for both the company as a whole and the employees in the company to be subjects of Greenberg's insistence in regaining his status and voicing his opinions. It was partially his fault for the collapse on the company, and by allotting him a influential position in the company, it could result in the demise of the company. I also think that if AIG isn't careful, these toxic assets could also drag the company down. Regardless of what the company decides to do, I feel that the combination of installing GreenBerg and not dealing with these toxic deals in the right way will result in the ultimate demise of the company.
